This hitch is made from sturdy steel with a carbide black finish and carries a 16,000-lb gross towing weight rating and a 4,000-lb vertical load limit. That means it’s ready to handle full-size fifth wheels with solid strength behind every connection. Each piece is tested for safety in accordance with SAE J2638 standards, so you know it meets real-world towing demands with proven durability.
The auto-locking, slide-bar jaw mechanism wraps around the king pin and locks automatically when you couple. A rear tension bar clamps down on the pin to cut out rattle and movement once you’re hitched. This simple mechanical design provides a secure grip every time and keeps the connection tight mile after mile without extra adjustments.
The dual-pivoting head flexes up to 10 degrees side to side, so coupling stays smooth even when the ground isn’t level. Once the king pin slides in, the hitch head absorbs small shifts during travel for a steadier, quieter ride. The integrated anti-rattle skid plate adds another layer of smoothness by cutting down vibration between the trailer and hitch plate.
A four-position height adjustment means you can tailor the hitch for proper trailer level and bed clearance. Whether you’re dialing it in for a different trailer or fine-tuning for bed rail space, those settings make it easy to get things right without extra parts or tools.
When it’s time to clear the bed, pull two pins to remove the head by yourself, then twist the quarter-turn anchors to lift out the base. The modular design makes handling manageable without special equipment, so switching between towing duty and an open truck bed takes only minutes.

Update, I still wish this hitch locked. It seems to have some slap in it. It doesnt really hurt anything, however its very noticeable when backing the trailer up. The hitch pin feels like it kind of bounces for lack of a better word against the hitch itself because of how the retaining mechanism is designed. We camp in the summer and are not full time RVers. I would not recommend this if I was a full time RVer.

I half to disconnect all the pins and lift hitch out with trailer because I can not get the king pin to release when its hooked up I tried everything so Im not pleased with this hitch?

I am glad to hear that everything was in tact and in the package despite the damage. The install looked like it went well, it is great to hear the videos were a big help, and it looks great in the truck. What are you planning on towing with the hitch?
