Spindle and Hub Upgrade Recommendation for an Agricultural Spindle

Question:
I’m a recent owner of a home-made car hauler trailer. It has two Dexter axles with 5-spoke UTG hubs and electric brakes. The numbers on one of the drums are “Dexter 8-222 6H28? and WF2”. Unfortunately, I was able to attach only one image to this communication, but have more available if needed. To the best of my knowledge, the bearings are L68149 inner and LM67048 outer. I’d like to replace the existing hubs with the ones that accommodate 6-lug 16-inch truck rims, but keep existing axles, if I can. I struggle to find suitable replacement hubs matching both bearing numbers on your website. Please advise. Thank you in advance.

Based on the inner diameters of the bearings you have I was able to determine that you have an agricultural spindle on your axles that is part AS2500F.
Since you are wanting to keep your axles and go with a hub that will give you a 6 lug bolt pattern your only option that we can provide would be to have your spindles removed and replaced by a qualified professional. Also, I can't recommend you use truck rims on your trailer either. You will want to use a rim rated for use on a trailer.
So basically you will want to first start with a hub that is designed for 12 inch brake assemblies that has a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern and then go with a spindle confirmed to fit it.
For a hub and drum that fits this criteria you would want the part # 8-201-5UC3 and then for a matching spindle with brake mounting flange you would want the # TRU37FR.
I attached a page to the right that has all of the tire and wheel combos we carry that are confirmed to work with the bolt pattern of 6 on 5-1/2 inch.
