Does Vent Cover for Dometic Fan-Tastic DV-4100 Allow for Full Air Flow

Question:

I have a Dometic Fan-tastic fan DV-4100 that came with my 2019 Open Range 5th wheel. I want to add the Dometic Ultra Breeze vent cover I believe your part number is DMC38FR. I want verify this will fit and allow me to open my vent fully. I read some on line comments from several people that it wouldn’t allow their vent to open fully. I just want to verify that this will work on my unit and will allow for the vent cover to open fully.

Hey Henry, yes the Dometic vent cover part # DMC38FR that you referenced would be the correct vent cover for your Dometic Fan-Tastic fan DV-4100. I know it seems odd but you don't actually need your vent to fully open to be able to flow as much air out of it as it can. With the lid only partially open (like what this cover allows for) the full air flow movement is able to pass through.

Hi Jameson...I have a Thor Sanctuary that has a Dometic DV4100 fan/vent and while driving it last weekend the lid flew up and the arm that holds the lid broke (the black plastic piece). Do you sell replacement arms or is it the entire lid unit? Thank you.

@ShariV That's an older vent that we don't have replacement parts for unfortunately. Only real option would be an all new vent system if you'd be open to that.
