Best Brake Controller For 2025 Ford F250 With Factory 7-Way
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
So I have a 2025 F250 SuperDuty and cant get an oem brake controller p/n SC3Z-19H332-AA as they are not available. Doesnt look like they will be available any time soon. So I am looking for an alternative brake controller that installs without cutting up wiring. I pull a 5000lbs camper and 23 ft car trailer both have tandem axles. I have the factory 7 way plug. what are my best and budget friendly options?i do have a computer and programs to program into the truck. You would think a truck like this would come from factory with a controller! Thanks

Hello Frank, thanks for reaching out. Sounds like typical Ford for you lol. We do have a plug-in brake controller option for the 2025 Ford F-250. For that I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness # RED67CR since it comes with everything you need. The Redarc controller mounts behind the dash, then the brakes are operated with the small control knob mounted on the dash. It comes with a custom harness for the OEM brake control port on your F250.
Take look at the review video I linked below and let me know if you have any other questions.

This doesn't appear to fit a 2025 Ford F-250. I received my order today of the Redarc Liberty and custom cable. Something must have changed for 2025 because the plug on the Redarc cable is about 20X larger than the plug behind the coin holder where the OEM controller goes. The factory plug has 4 pins and is about the size of a USB plug. My truck has the factory tow package (minus the controller that goes in the dash.) i have installed and programed OEM controller in 2017 F-150 and it had a plug like Redarc but the new F250 plug is much smaller. I am thinking the controller switch in the new F-250 controls a module that sends signal to brake plug at the back of truck.
