Hey Dennis, the etrailer hitch mounted spare carrier part # e98ZR that you referenced would be a really great option. It's compatible with your 5 lug wheel plus it comes with an anti rattle hitch pin, and a hitch alignment sleeve to make lining up the hitch pin as easy as possible.

Jameson, Is there an equivalent to the e98ZR that holds the tire in a vertically upright position as opposed to the angle on the e98ZR ? I have read many comments from customers who did not prefer that angled configuration, and if there is an equivalent I would like to consider it. Thanks Dennis

@DennisM For a more vertically held spare tire carrier we have the Draw Tite part # 6715.

@JamesonC , thanks for that that looks like it is what I am looking for. Is there anything significant about them calling it a 'front-mount' unit? The unit don't know if it is going into a front or rear receiver, but I wonder if there is something about the way it is dimensioned to make it suitable for front but not rear? Thanks Dennis

@DennisM The front mount designation is more to do with the angle of the mounting bracket for the wheel than anything else. It will work just fine for you in a rear hitch.
