Availability of Passenger Side Command Electronics LED Trailer Tail Light

Question:
A couple of questions about the 328-003-81BM1 tail light. Is there a companion tail light that fits the passenger sidewithout the license plate tabs and light? Or is it intended that the user would cut off the tabs and ignore the light that shines onto the plate? The video mentions that it does not come with mounting hardware. What does that consist of and is there a gasket in that kit? Thanks. I have a 2017 Jayco JayFeather 23rlsw trailer.

Hey David! The lights are technically discontinued which is why you aren't seeing the passenger side (003-81BM1) equivalent for the # 328-003-81LBM1. There may be stock out there but ours is sold out with only the driver side remaining. If you don't mind the license plate light shining down you could certainly cut off the tabs and put one of these on both sides.
There are also no hardware kits made specifically for this light. Like other trailer lights, they let you decide what hardware is best for your application. Are you replacing the same design from the old incandescent light? If so, you can reuse the hardware. It is designed to be surface mounted but there is no gasket. If you want to have some kind of seal on the back I would just add a little sealant around the edges like we did in the installation video below.
