Recommended Flat Towing Set Up for a 2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid

Updated 03/11/2025 | Published 02/19/2025

Question:

Im looking at purchasing a 2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid to tow behind our motorhome. I have confirmed that it is flat towable. I currently have an Avail towbar that we use to tow our 2022 RAM. I did not see a baseplate for the Corsair. Is there one available?

Congrats on the new purchase! Yes, there is an available baseplate kit. I checked with Roadmaster and have listed the parts below you'll need to flat tow a 2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid including an adapter that will work with your Avail Tow Bar item # BX7420:

Adapter - Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates item # BX88185

Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM43GR

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 10" Long LED Strips item # RM35MR

Charge Line Kit - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25

Supplemental Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR, 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps item # RM-9332, and Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

If you have any additional questions feel free to add them to the comment box below and I'll be happy to help you!

Thanks for all the help. We are using an E-Trailer recommended installer to put our system in.
