Where to Mount Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks

Updated 02/13/2025 | Published 02/10/2025

Question:

I want to mount these on the rear of a small single axle off-road trailer. Should I mount them in the center of the trailer and then swing out to deploy them, or should they be mounted outboard closer to the frame rails and then swing in. It seems like they should be center mounted and then swing out... I want to make sure they tuck completely under the trailer.

Hey Brent! I would mount the Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # ARK94FR on the outside as close to the corners as possible. If you mount them in the center of the trailer they won't add nearly as much stability.

If you're worried about them hitting each other if you fold them from the corner to the center it probably won't be an issue. When they're collapsed down they are only 19-1/2" long. Even a small camper like the one in the picture below doesn't have an issue with them folding up. You could also mount them so they fold toward the front of the trailer as seen in the other pictures.
