Hello again Mario,

Yes, the Konig Commercial Truck Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair # TH01571247 will also work for your 2018 Mazda CX-5 Touring with tire size 225/55 R19. These ones will require a little more work to get on compared to the # TH02230K66 that you previously asked about.

Like I mentioned in my last answer, please do a test fit in a nice warm garage. It is so much easier to learn how to put these on while being warm and dry than freezing cold on the side of the road in a blizzard. I also attached an install video so your first trial fit will be as easy as possible.

Whichever ones you do decide to get, please let me know what you think of them. Drive slow, and be safe!

Thank you, Kate. How do they differ? How will these chains be more difficult to install than the ones I asked about earlier. These chains are more affordable than the other ones.

@Mario Now you see why there is such a difference, convenience! Actually the # TH02230K66 are Class S compatible, which means they only install in the front due to clearance issues that the Class S vehicles have behind the tire. By them having to come up with this design, it just so happens that they are easier to put on. The # TH01571247 are still some of the easiest to put on as well. Where most people go wrong with using chains is they do not look for kinks in the chains where they looped through themselves, and they don't test fit them in a warm dry place. Let's face it, no one wants to pull over and put chains on, but it's a whole lot easier if you familiarize yourself with them first. This great advice is coming to you from the person at etrailer who still holds the record for putting tire chains on the fastest. We do a lot of hands on classes and I might be a little competitive. If it were me, I would go with the # TH01571247 and then go out for a nice steak dinner!
