Do you offer a hidden hitch for a 2022 BMW X3 M?

Hey Whit, thanks for reaching out. We do indeed have a hidden hitch for the 2022 BMW X3 M, although it is not the "hidden hitch" brand from Draw-Tite. What we have is the Stealth Hitch Class 4 Hitch # SH59VR. The hitch itself installs behind the bumper and it has a removable 2" receiver, so the hitch will be completely hidden when not in use.

Just keep in mind that if you need to tow a trailer, you will need to use the Towing Kit # SH58VR. The 2" receiver that comes with the stealth hitch can only be used for hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo basket. For trailer towing your must use the ball mount attachment and wiring harness that come with the towing kit.

Hello, Does the SH58VR include remote coding service to activate the trailer mode on the X3M which changes the blind spot monitoring, back up auto braking and adds a zoom to the rear camera for lining up to connect the trailer? Thank you.

@TimT I reached out to my contact at Stealth Hitches about this Tim, and this is what he responded: BMW does not offer a hitch for the X3M in the US so the only wiring option is a passive (SHT25015) wiring option. The features the customer is inquiring about are available on the standard X3 if they have 8SL trailer tow prep package on the vehicle from the factory and use the BMW module. The BMW servers will not allow the module software to be loaded on the X3M because BMW does not offer a hitch for it in the US. It looks like it cannot be activated on your X3M, I know this is not the answer you were hoping for and for that I am sorry.

@KateF Hello First I have a stealth hitch on my 2021 X3M already that I purchased from this site in 2023. Additionally, I have a few friends who also have one and had the towing package/module and standard coding done as well. So your contact is incorrect about it not being available or allowed. Ironically theirs was even done through Stealth directly and one of their installers. Either way it sounds like if I purchase through you, it won’t be offered so this becomes an issue. Thanks.
