Troubleshooting Pace Edwards Ultra Groove that Clicks and Doesn't Retract/Extend
Updated 03/06/2025 | Published 10/09/2024 >
Question:
I installed a pace Edwards electric ultra groove cover about 10 days ago. After install, everything was working perfectly. Parked the truck for about a week and now it won’t open or shut using the remotes. When you use remotes you hear a “click” from the motor, but nothing happens. Not sure what is going on.

Hey Ryan, so hows the truck battery? Normally that sound is associated with electronics wanting to work but not able to because of too weak of a charge system. Other possibility is a poor wiring connection that worked itself loose so at that point I would check the wiring connections of the tonneau.

Hi Jameson, thanks for the advice. I ended up talking to the manufacturer and it turns out I had a faulty brake for my cover. I troubleshooted with the manufacturer and removing the brake allows the cover to work temporarily while they are sending a new brake. Hope anyone that has this issue has a similar fix.
