I spoke to my contact at Retrax and they informed me that there is no manual release on the PowertraxONE MX Hard Tonneau Cover part # RT70243 for your 2019 Ram 1500 if you were to lose power to the motor. However, we do have a powered retractable tonneau cover for you that does have a manual release if the motor were to lose power and for that you will want to use the Pace Edwards BedLocker Hard Tonneau Cover part # 311-BLDA24A55. The BedLocker has a build-in release handle (see photo) that you can use if power to the motor is lost or the vehicle's battery dies.

The main difference between the BedLocker and PowertraxONE is that the BedLocker has aluminum panels which will be more durable than the polycarbonate panel on the PowertraxONE.
