Comparing Hellwig And SuperSpring Helper Springs For 2023 MB Sprinter RV 3500 2WD Dually

Updated 09/24/2024 | Published 09/21/2024

Question:

I have a 2016 Dynamanx ISATA 3 on a Mercedes Benz 3500 2WD dual wheel single cab/chassis. I see that Supersprings has the SSA56 available as well as this Helwig helper pro 25 and 35 series for the same application. Id be interested to know which is the better product and which you would recommend for my application, as well as which system is easiest for a diy installer like myself. Thanks much. Greg

Hello Greg, thanks for reaching out. Between the options you mentioned, I recommend going with the Hellwig Load Pro 25 Progressive Helper Springs with Custom Mounting Kit # HE64TR. Installation of the Hellwig kit and the SuperSprings kit are pretty similar in that you jack up the vehicle and assemble and install the springs. In my opinion the Hellwig assembly is more straightforward and easier to adjust to your needs, so this will be the best for DIY install. The Hellwig springs also offer more support than the Supersprings, because they have a higher weight capacity, and they use a spring pack made of multiple leaves. Since your RV is a 3500 Dually, you will definitely benefit from the additional support. The progressive springs will be a good middle ground, so you can get the support you need without making the ride too rough.
