Are Mounting Bracket 18144 Screws For Metal
Updated 09/06/2024 | Published 09/01/2024 >
Question:
Are the self-tapping screws only for plastic? I want to mount the bracket on the trailer hitch itself. Can I use those screws or do I need to buy metal screws?

Hi Gary,
The screws for the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 aren't designed to go through metal, just plastic like for bumper fascia so I'd go ahead and get different screws if you're wanting to mount it directly on the hitch.
