Question:
Hi. I have a 2023 Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid with a Curt 2inch receiver. I would like to buy Item C45056 2inch ball hitch with 4inch drop. My question is, I need a 4 inch rise. Is there any way that you could torque the ball to make it a rise instead of the standard drop? If not, I could switch it I guess. How much torque is applied? This is for towing a small pop up camper that weighs 1500 lbs. Thank you. Vinnie

While the ball on the Curt Class III Ball Mount # C45056 can also be used in a rise position it will only give you 2" of rise. Instead you would want the Curt Ball Mount # C45070, a 2" Ball # 40038 and a Pin and Clip # C21500 for a 4" rise. You will want to check the hitch ball to verify the torque spec but it currently is 250ft-lbs as we are not able to install the ball for you at our facility.
