While we do not have a custom fit receiver you may be able to use a Universal Receiver # C13701 on your 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V. I have included an image with the dimensions of the receiver so you can compare it to the area on your rear frame where it would mount.
If this receiver will not fit please send me some images along with the dimensions needed to clear your rear bumper and any components under your trunk area. Also be sure to check with your owners manual to determine correct towing capacity.
