You do not; absolutely no drilling is required on your 2018 Acura RDX to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e24AR.
I also wanted to add, if you going to be using this hitch for towing you will need a 4-way, with the correct fit for your '18 RDX being the Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56008.
