I did some research and for your Fan-Tastic Vent, you're going to need the Replacement Manual Lift Control Knob for Fan-Tastic Vent Clamp On Roof Vents # FVK1140-09.

The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vents with motors like the part #FVK1140-09 that you referenced can be opened manually with the manual lift knob that's present on the bottom of the assembly. You wouldn't need to remove the motor to do this.
