Is there a plug into brake controller wiring harness available for after market GMC canyon controller?

Expert Reply:
There is not a plug-and-play style connector for an aftermarket brake controller for a 2018 GMC Canyon so you would have to splice into the factory wiring. You'll need to look for the cold side of the brake light switch by checking the wires coming off of the brake pedal with a tester # PTW2993. The wire that lights up only when the brake pedal is depressed is your brake light switch wire. If you can't find it or the wire is too thin of a gauge to splice into then you can use the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751472 to get the brake light signal instead.
If you don't want to splice into the wiring you could use the Curt Echo In-Line Wireless Brake Controller # C79DR, which connects inline with your factory 7-way and is controlled by an app.
