Difference Between The Draw-Tite 65052 And Curt C31012 Front Mount Trailer Hitches
Question:
What are the differences between the Drawtite 65052 and the Curt C31012? From the pictures it looks like they might mount a little differently but I cant tell if they are both purely bolt on with a little fascia trimming or if theres some bigger difference? Ill be installing on a 2011 Chevy Surburban.

The only real difference between the Draw-Tite # 65052 and Curt # C31012 is the style in which they bolt to the frame. The Draw-Tite is going to have a bolt on each frame rail and one on the crossmember, whereas the Curt is going to have three bolts on each frame rail. The Curt hitch is a bit more aesthetically pleasing whereas the Draw-Tite is more of just a get the the job down and don't worry about looks kind of hitch. That being said, the only thing you'll see from from hitches is just the receiver tube sticking out. The Draw-Tite is a no-drill installation, while the Curt will require you to drill holes into the frame.
If I were to choose between the two, I personally would go with the Draw-Tite since it has a super easy bolt on installation with no drilling. If you read through some of the reviews the most common thing people say is that it was easy to install, with one saying they completed the installation in 35 minutes.
If you decide to go with the Curt I've attached an installation video for it below to help walk you through the process.
