Adding a Second 4-Way Connector for Truck Cap Lights
Question:
Hi , I use my flat four pin receptacle to power my truck cap which has turn, stop, running light capabilities. Trouble is when I pull my car trailer, the 7 pin and 4 pin wont fit in the socket together. Is there some kind of adapter thats out there or do I have to hard wire a second socket?

What I recommend doing is adding a second socket but by using the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55384 instead of a hardwire option. This will tee in behind your 4-Way/7-Way so all of the functions will pass through but then you'll have a second 4-Way that is dedicated for your truck cap.
