Trouble Shooting Trailer Wiring On A 2013 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2013 Ford F-150 and when hooked up to my travel trailer, the tail lights and running lights work but the Brake and Turn signal lights do not work. I hooked up a different truck to the trailer and the Brake and Turn Signal lights work when it is hooked up to a different truck. What do you think is wrong with my F-150 to cause it to allow the running/tail lights to work on the travel trailer but it does not allow the Brake lights and Turn Signal lights to work.

When the trailer is hooked up to your 2013 Ford-F150 and the tail lights and the running lights work but the brake and turn signals do not means that you will have a wire loose somewhere on the vehicle side of the wiring. I would recommend using The Hook Probe Circuit Tester Kit # PTW2993, this will be able to check each wiring function on your vehicle side plug and you will be able to find out which one is loose or could also just be a bad wire. With my educated guess though it sounds like it could be the ground wire, or it could also be a blown fuse for the tail light/running light circuit.
