4 Foot Long Ratchet Tie Down Strap for Boat Trailer

Question:

About 3 or 4 feet. Should I have individual ones like boat straps or can I loop two longer straps through the anchors on each side? Which is better ratchet or cam? The straps are lending stability to avoid rocking. The anchors are attached to the two projecting sides and the trailer. The trailer is four foot wide and the sides are six foot. The front is even with the trailer and the back two feet short so the camper is 6x6 on the 4x8 trailer. The trailer is bolted through the floor and there are 6 heavy metal L brackets as well. Since it was originally intended to be a truck camper a 2x6 rail supports each side as well.

So how long of a strap would work ideally for you and do you want a ratchet style or a cam lock style?

I prefer ratchet straps for applications like this since they can be tightened further and are less likely to slip compared to cam tie downs. We have the part # IMF14207 which is a pair that are 4 foot long and would work great. I wouldn't recommend routing straps through the anchors and then back to a different one. I'd recommend one strap to go from one side to the other.
