Question:
I have a 1999 Champion boat and trailer. I want to change wheel bearings this summer. It is a single axle trailer and the boat that sets on it is a 1999 champion 193 bass boat. Trailer does have a folding tonge on it. Can you tell me what bearing set I need. I do not want Chinese made bearings.

In order to find the replacement bearings for your boat trailer you will need some additional information. You may be able to identify your axle with the axle tag. From there, you could call the manufacturer to see what bearings the axle uses. If this does not work you will need to pull off your hubs and check your bearings.
If the part number is stamped in the bearings you can use that to identify them. If not, you will need to take some measurements. I recommend using a digital caliper like the # PTW2993. You will need to measure the inner diameter of your bearings or the spindle where the bearings ride. Once you know the inner diameter of the bearing you will be able to find the correct replacement.
I have attached a helpful diagram showing where to measure along with a link to all of our available bearings that you can filter down by inner diameter.
