How Do I Troubleshoot No Power on My Superwinch Terra 35 Winch?

So I just installed the Terra 35 Superwinch, closely following the wiring diagram. It operates fine up, but there is no power going down. Can you tell me if I’ve wired it wrong… or is there something that I am missing?

From the sounds of your issue, you have either the Terra 35 # SW1135230 or the # SW1135220. The first thing that I recommend is to try both the rocker switch and the handlebar switch to help rule out a switch issue. Also, it is important to rule out any frays on the wiring as well. If you need help testing any of the wires for power, I recommend using the circuit tester # PTW2993. As an absolute last resort (given that everything is wired correctly), it could be an issue with the solenoid. In this case, we do carry the replacement solenoid with part # SW87-42608.
