Question:

I am having a very difficult time removing the ratcheting straps off my thule 5 bike rack.I do bike transport and my customers say this is the most trouble they have ever had removing their bikes.Is there a velcro replacement that could be used to replace these.The current situation is unacceptable.

This will replace the cradle straps and the anti-sway straps for 2 bike positions on your hanging-style Thule bike rack with HideAway cradles, and will fit your Thule Apex XT Bike Rack.

Additionally, I spoke with Thule and they explained that if you are overly tightening your straps that may be causing difficulty when removing the straps. You should be making the straps tight, but not too tight. They did also confirm that there is no Velcro replacement, as Velcro isn't very weatherproof which may be a safety concern.
