I recommend to have the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98864 installed on your 2016 Toyota RAV4 at your local Toyota Dealer. They will know your vehicle better than other service centers and have the ability to help fix and damaged parts that they may come across when installing your receiver. And as they are part of Toyota you know that their technicians are required to have the proper training.

If you do not have a dealer near you there are reputable service centers that are capable of installing it as well. Be sure to do your research and check reviews for them on websites such as google.

I recommend to have them also install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118578 when they are installing the receiver. This is required to operate the tail lights on most small trailer but will also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with your bike rack or cargo carrier that limits the view of your tail lights.
