How To Adjust Head Angle On Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution Hitch 66557
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Just a quick question on adjustment. How do you make the head tilt more to provide more distribution of weight? I just got it installed and if it needs tweeked I would like to know how the head adjusts. I know the Equalizer uses washers.....this one has it built in.. I plan on loading it up and doing a few measurements at the time also making sure my bars are running flush along the pads. I am hoping to have good luck with this hitch....thanks.

To adjust the head angle on your Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 12K GTW, 1.2K TW # RP66560 you will need to loosen two bolts holding the head assembly to the shank, and move the shank forward or back to get the angle you are wanting. The toothed washers will lock into groves in the head and lock in the angle you have the hitch at.
I included a video of the # RP66560 and a link to the written instructions for you to take a look at.
