What Is The Difference Between An L44643 Bearing And An L44643R Bearing?
Question:
Can you tell me what the difference is between the bearing L44643 and L44643R is? I have a trailer and the bearings are L44643R and I am interested in purchasing the correct seal and bearings if needed. When I was browsing your website, I found hubs with bearing L44643 but not L44643R. Please advise

The # L44643 bearing is an exact replacement for the L44643R bearing on your trailer. The R does not mean anything other than it is there to let you know it is a Koyo brand bearing.
Since you are needing replacement bearings and seals you may be able to use the Bearing Kit for 1" BT8 Spindle, L44643 Inner/Outer Bearings, 34823 Seal # BK1-100 for each spindle but you will need to confirm the size of your grease seal. To do this you will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to precisely measure your spindle where the grease seal goes (This is the I.D. of the seal) and the inside of the hub where the seal gets installed (This is the O.D. of the seal). The included seal has an I.D. of 1.249" and an O.D. of 1.983".
As long as this matches your spindle and hub this would be the correct replacement.
If you find you need a grease seal that is a different size just let me know.
I included a video of the # BK1-100 for you to take a look at.
