Question:
331-BCDC1225D This was suggested to protect my alternator from a lithium battery on my camper drawing too much power. If wire as suggested with a separate plug, what stops my original 7-way trailer wire from drawing too much power? If the ignition wire powers this and its installed in a camper, I didnt see in the video anything being ran back except the black and red 6 gauge cable. How is the ignition wire connected?

Let's start with the ignition wire you were asking about for the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Dual Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 25 Amp # 331-BCDC1225D.
What you will do is connect the blue wire from the charger directly to an ignition source via 8 gauge wire so it will be a direct connection to wiring that gets power when your ignition is turned on. If you have a smart alternator or have a long run to an ignition source you can also use the 60-Amp Relay Kit for Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-RK1260.
Now, in regards to the 7-way, there isn't anything stopping it from drawing too much power if connected to a lithium battery (which is what I think you're asking, if I'm understanding correctly). The answer is you wouldn't want to go from your 7-way to the battery, you would just use the BCDC to charge the battery. The only other thing to keep in mind is that for install you would also need the 40-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit for Redarc In-Vehicle 25-Amp BCDC Battery Charger # 331-FK40.
I have added a link below to a video review of this as well as instructions for these parts that I recommend taking a look at.
