Roof Rack And 2-Kayak Carrier Setup For 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee With Factory Flush Rails

Looking for roof racks for carrying two kayaks. On my 2015 jeep grand cherokee Laredo. I have the rails. But not sure which rack fit best.

Since your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee currently has the factory flush rails, you will need to first add a crossbar setup that will allow a kayak carrier to mount to. Depending on which factory rail system you have will determine the crossbar setup that you need. If your Jeep has the black and chrome track rails running front to back then go with Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars Black - 49" Long # RRVA126B-2 along with Leg Kit # RRRCL4 and Fit Kit # RRRCP27-BK. This setup has a 150lb weight capacity. If your Jeep has the matte black track rails running front to back then go with Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars Black - 54" Long # RRVA137B-2 along with Leg Kit # RRRLKVA and Fit Kit # DK234. This setup has a 130lb weight capacity.
For a kayak carrier I would go with Rhino-Rack 2 Kayak Carrier # S512-S512X, which will clamp onto either crossbar setup mentioned above. This can safely hold up to 2 kayaks on their sides and includes straps to secure them. Rubber padding on the cradle arms will cushion the kayak when being transported. The arms fold down when not in use for more overhead clearance.
