Removal Of A Hitch Receiver
Question:
Hi, I am attempting to remove the front mount hitch from my 2001 Mazda B 4000 truck. Removing the actual hitch is no problem, however I am unclear on how to get the bolts and washers out from within the frame? Is there a way to fish these out using a fishwire similar to placing the bolts? If not where can I order the bolts and washers from? Thank you

While getting the bolts into the frame is one thing, getting them out is a bit trickier. Obviously, its going to be the same process you did to get them installed but just in reverse. You may need to make the hole bigger if it's giving you trouble. You can get the bolts at your local hardware store or you can just go to item # RHK and type in the hitch number and manufacturer to get the right kit. For example, if you had the Curt Round Tube Class III hitch # 13138 on your 2001 Mazda B4000 Pickup Truck you would just have to put 13138 under "Hitch Item Number" and "Curt" as the manufacturer.
