Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Gentlemen and Ladies, I have a 23.5 foot Hunter sailboat on a single Qualityi Axle. My trailer has 5 bolt hub, 14inch rims, 3500 lb axle capacity, uses inner bearing L-68149, Outer bearing L-44649, double lip seal 171255TB and has an Atwood #61101 actuator. Existing brakes are drums. I would like to replace all components including the brake lines. Please advise what kits or package you would recommend if I keep my drums and what you would recommend if I switch to disk brakes. Thank you,

If you were looking to simply replace the hydraulic brakes then I recommend the Hydraulic Brake Kit part # AKFBBRK-35-D with the Trailer Hub/Drum Assembly part # AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K (2). If you were looking to upgrade to disc brakes then I recommend the Titan Disc Brake Assembly part # T10HREKITBB (2). In regards to the brake lines, the HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit part # HS496-251 would have you covered.
Please note, if you upgrade to disc then you'll also need a new actuator like the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator part # DM62VR.
