For your 2010 Dodge Journey I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76225. You can see the video of this installation on a 2010 with dual exhaust attached. This will allow you to tow but will also allow you to utilize hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
I also recommend you get the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118495 for your trailer wiring and then the ball mount compatible with whatever trailer you will be towing. I've attached an article to assist with a fixed mount ball mount or recommend an adjustable ball mount like the B&W # BWTS10037B which is a very popular option compatible with any trailer you will tow.
