Question:
The following is a previous question and answer: Will the Malone or Hollywood fit 3 bikes on a tent trailer spare tire? Its a forest river flagstaff 2004 asked by: Becky B Helpful Expert Reply: I do have an option for you, however none of our traditional spare tire mount bike racks including the Malone # MPG2148 and the Hollywood Racks # HRSR1 that you were looking at are rated for use by the manufacturer to be used at the back of a trailer. This is simply because the manufacturer has deemed that they arent fully capable of handling the extra movement and bounce that they would need to withstand in this application. The best option we have available is with the Swagman Around the Spare 2 Bike Rack # S80501 as long as you have a 4 inch to 4-1/2 inch square continuously welded steel bumper at the rear of the camper. This is designed specifically for use on trailers and features 12 inch long brackets that will extend past the spare tire. The downside is that it can only handle 2 bikes. Otherwise you will need to add a hitch receiver to the camper, such as with the Swagman # S64025, again as long as you have a 4 to 4-1/2 inch square bumper. You can then use the trailer-approved Swagman 3-Bike Rack # S64152-2 which features a distance of 14 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar. I recommend taking a measurement out from the center of the rear bumper to the outer edge of your spare tire to make sure this will provide enough clearance. I have attached a few demonstration videos on the products mentioned that you can check out as well. I have a 2014 HR27KS Forrest River High Wall Pop Up and do not have a 4 inch to 4-1/2 inch square continuously welded steel bumper at the rear of the camper. What are my options?

To use a bike rack on your towable camper, you'll need to install a frame mounted trailer hitch receiver instead, like the Curt adjustable RV and camper hitch receiver # 13703, which fits trailers with frames between 22 and 72 inches.
For a three bike rack, I recommend the Swagman Original # S64152-2 or for a 4 bike rack, I recommend the Yakima LongHaul # Y02476, both of which are approved to be used behind an RV or camper, like yours.
