What is the difference between the two options you offer? Will they both fit the thule square bars?

The difference between the end caps is simply that the Thule Load Bar Replacement End Caps THEC1 are the older version of replacement end caps, while the Replacement Endcaps for Thule SquareBar Roof Racks # TH1500052968 are direct replacement caps for the most recent version of Thule's square crossbars. These caps have "Thule" written on the sides and are direct replacements for the following:
- Thule SquareBar Crossbars - Steel - 43" Long # TH712100
- Thule SquareBar Crossbars - Steel - 47" Long # TH712200
- Thule SquareBar Crossbars - Steel - 50" Long # TH712300
- Thule SquareBar Crossbars - Steel - 53" Long # TH712400
- Thule SquareBar Crossbars - Steel - 60" Long # TH712500
