What is the Difference Between a 18x8.5-8 and 18x8.5-10 Tire?

Question:

I have a Kubota Bx 22 Tractor. 2004 year. The front tire is 18-8.5-8. Can I put an 18-8.5-10 on? What is the difference?

Expert Reply:

The difference between your 18x8.5-8 tire and the 18x8.5-10 is the size of the wheel; the 18x8.5-10 is going to have a 10" diameter wheel, which unless you had the available clearance and wanted to change all 4 wheel/tires is going to be too large. You'll want to replace your existing tire with the same size tire like the Kenda # AM40537 , which is a Load Range B tire that is size 18x8.5-8 and will match your current tires.

If you wanted to replace the entire wheel, you can use the # AM90002 wheel/tire combo you were looking at, but the wheels may not match cosmetically compared to your existing ones.
