I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2008 Nissan Frontier and it stated that you can use your bumper hitch and a hitch ball to tow up to 3,500 lbs. So as long as your trailer's total capacity is under that you can tow with your Frontier.
You will also need a 4-way to connect your trailer's lights if you do not already have one. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56225 will be exactly what you need and I've also added a link to a video install of this harness on an '08 Frontier for you to take a look at.
