what kind and size wire do I need to use to hook this light up for in wall instal?

The LED RV interior Light part # 328-K-1050Q9 uses 18 gauge wire. You can use a 16 gauge wire part # 16-1-1 with butt connectors part # DW05744-5 to install the light. The 16 gauge is bit larger but will work well for installation. The white wire from the light is the ground wire and the black wire is the power wire.
