Replacement Axle for Dexter Torsion 2,200 lb Axle on 2005 Blizzard 10T Snowmobile Trailer
Question:
dexter torsion axel I have a 2005 Blizzard 10T snowmobile trailer 2200 GVRW that I would like to replace the axel on. I called Blizzard and all she would say is its a Dexter 5778 which I assume is the Outside to outside bracket dimension 57foot and hub face to face 78...but when I measure face to face I get 79. Only thing Im not sure of is the angle and exactly how to measure it.

For your Blizzard 10T Snowmobile trailer, the 2,200 lb GVWR with the Dexter torsion axle means we do not have a direct replacement. We do however have a better option that will work for you whether you have 78 or 79 inch hub face to hub face measurements. It is the Timbren Axle-Less trailer suspension system which is not dependent on a specific width measurement for fit and still includes the suspension so there are not leaf springs so it is somewhat like a torsion axle in that area.
You can use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange - Off-Road Tires - 2,200 lbs # ASR1THDS02 or the 4 inch lift spindle option # ASR1THDS03. Then you will use a 2 inch square bar (not included) that will fit between the two assemblies in the integrated holes.
