From what I could find online it looks like you can flat tow your 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara as long as it is a 4WD with a transfer switch. If it is a 4WD without a transfer switch then you need to use a trailer to keep all of the wheels off of the ground. For a 2WD you can tow it using a tow dolly with the rear wheels off of the ground. You will want to verify this and specific instructions in your copy of the owner's manual.
If you have a 2WD then I recommend using the Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-2000-1 because it has self-steering wheels which improve the handling of the tow dolly. This comes with the ability to utilize electric brakes but you will need to swap out the 4-Way flat connector with a 6-Way # PK11604 or 7-Way # PK12706. A brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 will be needed in the motorhome to activate these brakes.
Then for a flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX3523 along with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar and Safety Cables # BX7380. This system gives you a clean installation look and easy connections.
For wiring I recommend the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which provides quick connection points and the ability to add the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to keep your battery from draining.
The SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is one of the best braking systems out there. After the initial installation it is easy to set up for each time you flat tow and since it installs out of the way you will hardly realize that it is still on your vehicle when not flat towing. You will need to use the Relay Kit # RM-88400 to keep the brake signal of your Grand Vitara from overriding the turn signal of your motorhome.
Most flat towing setups require a high-low adapter for the tow bar to remain level while towing. I have linked our selection of adapters for you to check out as well as an article that will help you determine which is the best one for your application.
