Question:
It looks like there are two tongue weight limits listed on the page: 500 lbs and 350 lbs. Which one is correct? Im interested in purchasing a motorcycle carrier for a 2012 Jeep Compass, so I need a tongue weight of 500 lbs. Thanks.

I did some research and the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75712, has a tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds and a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 pounds. It is not rated for use with weight distribution. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to a video showing a typical installation.
If you are interested in this hitch and plan to do some towing I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring use # 118539. I have included a link to the installation details for the wiring as well.
