Installing Lippert Components Bolt-On Trailer Gas Shock Kit
Updated 10/03/2018 | Published 10/02/2018 >
Question:
I am considering these shocks. But reading through the questions I see one answered differently in two places regarding tandem axle trailers. Are the shocks installed.... \ Equalizer / Or \ Equalizer \ top pointed towards the front of trailer. Let me know. Thank You

The Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks - 3,500-lb (2-3/8") Axle # LC281255 are installed with the bottom of the shock in front of the rear axle and the top of the shock behind the rear axle. If you want to add shocks to the front axle as well, it will be the reverse so the bottom of the shock will be behind the front axle with the top of the shock pointed toward the front of the trailer. It is noted in the included instructions that shocks are to be installed pointing away from the shackle kit and equalizer to get the best performance.
