Availability of 35,000 Pound Gooseneck Coupler
Question:
I am looking for a cushioned gooseneck hitch for a very large trailerappx 18,000 empty weight, 35,000 lbs loaded, with a loaded tongue weight around 8,000 lbs. It seems like this hitch would be under-rated for my application. Do you have any recommendations for a hitch that would work? I would prefer a cushioned hitch that does not need an external air supply. Thank You

The Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG referenced in your question is the highest rated cushioned coupler we have available. It features a towing capacity of 30,000 pounds and a tongue weight limit of 4,000 pounds, so it is definitely under-rated for your trailer that may get up to around 35,000 pounds loaded.
The only other gooseneck coupler we have available that has a higher rating is the Bulldog BX1 # BD1289200300, however this is a square coupler for 3 inch balls. It includes both the inner and outer tube and is rated for 40,000 pounds towing and 10,000 pounds of tongue weight.
