Weight Distribution System for Hauling Jayco Eagle 324BHTS Travel Trailer
Question:
I habe a Eqaulizer sway from you guys that I used on one trailer and I just purchased a new trailer that is a Jayco Eagle 324 BHTS. Tongue weight is 900 lbs and the trailer is around 10,000 loaded. The hitch is only rated for 1000/10,000. I seem to be getting a lot of sway. Would upgrading to a beafier setup help with sway and if so what do you recommend?

You definitely need a new weight distribution setup because your Equalizer is not rated properly. In order to choose the best weight distribution system you will first need to know your total tongue weight (TTW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
The tongue weight is typically between 10% and 15% of your trailer's GVWR but you'll want to verify it by using a scale such as the # e99044 or by using one of the methods outlined in the help article on determining tongue weight I've linked for you. From there, simply add on the weight of the cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle and you'll have your TTW. The ideal system would be one in which your TTW would fall somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity.
I looked up your Jayco Eagle 324BHTS and found it had a GVWR of nearly 11,000 lbs which means you will have a total tongue weight, depending on the cargo you have behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle, in the neighborhood of 1,400 lbs and if that is the case you need a weight distribution system where 1,400 lbs is in the middle of its tongue weight rating.
For that I highly recommend the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW1500.
