Can 7.00 x 14LT Tire be Replaced with ST205/75R15 Tire on Trailer

Question:

If I were to stay with 14" tires so I do not have to invest in new Wheels, What is your recommendation? Is there a 14" in say a 205/75/14 size... or something equivalent to my existing 7.00 x 14 LT's?

When upgrading to larger trailer tires, you will just need to make sure you have the necessary space for the larger size, specifically below the fender and at the trailer frame. The Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D # LHAW121 that you referenced is an excellent choice to replace your 7.00 x 14 LT tires.

Your existing tire and wheel has an overall diameter/height of around 26.88 inches. The ST205/75R15 tire and wheel will have an overall diameter of 27.1 inches, giving you a larger diameter by just around 0.22 inches with the new size. Your current tire has a section width of 7 inches, compared to the 8-inch width on the ST205/75R15 tire. This means the new tire will be wider by about one inch.

As long as you have the space available for this larger size, this conversion will work great. You will also want to make sure that the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern on this wheel matches your existing wheels and hubs. This tire features a maximum load of 2,150 pounds at 65 psi and an excellent speed rating of 87 mph.

We do indeed have a nice selection of ST205/75-14 tires available that will work great as a replacement on your trailer. This particular size tire will have an overall diameter/height of 26.3 inches, so it will actually be a bit smaller in height compared to your existing tires. The new tire will be 8 inches wide. For this size, I recommend the Kenda Karrier Radial Trailer Tire # AM10235. This 8 ply radial tire features a maximum load of 2,200 pounds at 75 psi and an excellent speed rating of 81 mph.
