Is Lug Bolt Torque the Same as Lug Nut Torque
Question:
Im having trouble finding out what the torque value is for the 12 in., four hole boat trailer wheel lug bolts. Ive got info on I/2 in. stud lug nutsfoot with the final torqueing of 75 and up to 95 ft. lbs in the 3rd and last stage. What is the torque procedures for my Lug Bolts? Thanks.

I spoke with our resident tire and wheel expert and he said that for wheel bolts you will just follow the same torque specs as you would for a lug nut of the same size. Take a look at the chart I have included with lug nut torque specs. Based on your hub, tire, and wheel sizes you likely have 1/2 inch wheel bolts. For 1/2 inch torque them to 75-85 foot pounds. If they are not 1/2 inch then follow the included chart.
