Recommended Grease to Use for a Reese SC Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have the Reese SC style weight distribution system # 66155. What type of grease/lube do you recommend for the hitch sockets that hold the trunnion bars? Is there any other places that needs greased on these systems?

To lubricate your Reese SC Weight Distribution (WD) system I highly recommend the Lubrimatic Biobased LMX Red Grease. This is an excellent grease that does a great job at resisting water and the elements. It is available in a 14-oz Cartridge # L11390.
According to Reese you need to lubricate the ball mount sockets, hitch ball, and spring bar trunnions. The trunnions should be lubricated daily and when in use. You need to lubricate the upper and lower trunnion pivot pins and contact area in the ball mount sockets.
Be sure to clean out any excess or dirt when the trailer is uncoupled.

To be clear, the location where the spring bar rests on the L-bracket should never be lubricated, correct?
