What do the Hub Face and Spring Center Measurements Mean for an Axle

Hello I was considering having an axle made. I came across this while looking at options. The person told me I needed to provide them with the hub face fractions and spring center fractions other than just the HubFace and Spring Center itself. What would they exactly be talking about as fractions on the hf/sc?

If they were talking about the hub face and spring center measurements then what was referred to was the hub-face-to-hub-face and spring-center-to-spring-center lengths.

Hub face is measured from the base of one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite side of the axle. The spring center is the approximate width of your trailer. It is measured from the center of the spring seat on one side of axle to the center of the spring seat on the other side of the axle.

The Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 35545E-ST-89 that you referenced has a hub face measurement of 89" and a 74" spring center measurement (see attached photo). You can use these dimensions to determine whether or not it is compatible with your trailer.
