Question:
Is there a disadvantage or negative using this 12k hitch for a 10k toy hauler with air bags on my 2015 Tundra 4x4 ? Also is there a advantage or disadvantage with the Trunion style over the round bar style ? Like backing up, longevity or .. ? Many thanks.

Since the instructions for the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BXW1000 state that any air-ride shock absorbers, air springs, or automatic leveling systems need to be disabled or deflated to the manufacturer's minimum recommended pressure prior to installing the system, you will need to leave it in that state while using the Blue Ox system. If you were to inflate them after installing the WD system then they would be working against each other.
If you would rather retain the use of the air bags on your 2015 Toyota Tundra I recommend using a Reese Strait-Line system instead. The instructions state to set your air bags to the desired height before installing the Weight Distribution (WD) system. I like to recommend the Strait-Line system because it is one of the few systems like the Blue Ox system that you referenced which works to prevent sway before it starts as opposed to correcting it.
The Strait-Line system is one of our most popular and has received great reviews from our customers as well! For a system rated similar to the SwayPro # BXW1000 I recommend the Strait-Line # RP66084 which actually has a wider TW range of 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs. This system comes with a shank, but the hitch ball is sold separately. For a 2 inch hitch ball you can use part # A-90, or for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball you can use part # 19286.
You will want to be sure that the WD system that you choose has a TW range that your Total Tongue Weight (TTW) falls in the middle of. Your TTW can be found by adding the TW of your fully loaded and ready-to-go trailer along with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your Tundra. Keep in mind that a properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the weight of the loaded trailer.
I have attached review videos and the installation instructions for both WD systems.
